Egg donation is one of the most powerful tools in reproductive medicine. It enables women who cannot use their own eggs — due to advanced age, diminished ovarian reserve, premature ovarian insufficiency, or genetic concerns — to carry a pregnancy and become mothers.
Who Is Egg Donation For?
Egg donation is typically recommended for:
- Women over 40 with significantly reduced egg quality
- Women with premature ovarian failure
- Women with repeated IVF failures using their own eggs
- Women with genetic conditions they do not wish to pass on
- Single men and male couples using gestational carriers
Why Argentina Leads in Egg Donation
CEGYR operates one of the largest egg donor programs in South America, established in 2005. We have developed a rigorous donor selection process and have helped hundreds of international patients achieve successful pregnancies through egg donation.
Our donor program offers a guarantee: at least 6 mature eggs and at least one blastocyst for transfer. If these standards are not met, patients receive a second donor cycle at no additional cost.
The Process for International Patients
Most egg donation recipients stay approximately 10 days in Buenos Aires. The process begins with a video consultation to evaluate your situation and plan the cycle. Donor selection is coordinated in advance, and the full treatment — from stimulation monitoring to egg retrieval, fertilization, embryo development, and transfer — is managed during your stay. For patients who prefer to freeze embryos for later transfer at home, we can also accommodate that approach.
